First, we planned our wormeries – equipment needed and how to build it. Then, we had to moisten the soil, we started digging and added layers of soil and sand to our jars. We added natural items that decay to create food for the worms. We used a worm charming stick to entice the worms out of the damp soil and into our wormeries. We check on the worms each day in a shady area and moisten the soil as needed. If you look closely, you can see the beginning of a worm tunnel in one of the pictures!
